Frequently Asked Questions

What is bodywork, massage therapy, and energy work — and how are they different?

Massage therapy works primarily with muscle and soft tissue to relieve physical tension. Bodywork is broader — it includes massage, but also modalities like Cranial Sacral Therapy and Myofascial Release that work with the nervous system, fascia, and structural alignment, not just the muscles. Energy work, like Reiki, works with the body's subtler energetic state rather than tissue directly. In a session with me, these aren't separate categories — they're woven together and applied intuitively, based on what your body is asking for that day.

Do I need any prior experience with somatics or bodywork?

No — this work is designed to meet you wherever you're starting from, whether you're brand new to somatic practice or have been in this world for years.

What can I expect from a typical session?

We start by checking in — how you're feeling, what's present in your body, anything you want me to know. From there, the session unfolds intuitively, often moving between hands-on bodywork and quieter, more energetic work. There's no fixed script; I follow what your body shows me. Most people leave feeling noticeably lighter, calmer, or clearer — sometimes emotional, always cared for.

How do I know if this is right for me?

If you're feeling disconnected from your body, carrying tension that other approaches haven't fully resolved, or simply curious what it feels like to be met this way — it's worth trying. You don't need prior experience with bodywork or somatics. The work meets you exactly where you are.

Do you offer virtual sessions?

Bodywork itself is hands-on and in-person by nature. That said, some offerings — like coaching, energy work, and parts of the Channel Love and Liberated Creator programs — can be held virtually. Ask when you reach out and I'll let you know what's possible for what you're looking for.

Do you travel? Do you do home visits?

Yes — sessions are available at your home or at my home office, and I travel for group bookings, retreats, and private events.

How long will it take to see results?

Some shifts are immediate — many people feel a difference by the end of a single session. Others, especially around deeper patterns, unfold over several sessions as your nervous system learns it's safe to let go. This is part of why the Liberated Creator work is offered across different paces (a single day, a retreat, or a paced path) — some things move quickly, and some need room to root.

How are you different from other massage therapists or bodyworkers?

My approach is nervous-system-first, not just tissue-first — I'm reading what your body is holding, not just where it's tight. Sessions blend multiple modalities (Cranial Sacral, Thai Yoga Massage, Myofascial Release, Cupping, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Reflexology, Reiki) rather than sticking to one technique.

Do you offer this for groups, or only 1:1?

Both. A full day and a retreat can be booked for small private groups; The path is typically 1:1.
